Oftentimes, SSDs and NVMe disks are affected when they remain powered on for long periods of time – sometimes 24/7. The aging processes may not be solely traced back to the read/write intensity of the disk, but in many cases the cause is just the time span during which the device was in use.

Disk

You can choose from this selection list which of the available disks you want to refresh. For a more clear overview of the disk's contents, you may have the name and size of the partitions displayed under Partitions or by clicking on the number behind the colored bar.

Options

Automatically shut down system after completion: This option enables the automatic shut down of the computer once the process has been completed. There are various conditions that may be applied.

Advanced options

Limit speed: Allows a reduction of the transfer speed in order to prevent temporary failure, as HDClone's performance can lead to hardware overload in some fast SSD models.
