Virtual Disks

Advanced Edition and up

Allows you to mount HDClone-created images as virtual disks in order to access files and folders within.

Previously Unmounted Images

Images that have been previously unmounted will appear here. Unmounted images are displayed with the icon. To mount the image once again, click on its entry. The icon next to the image will denote that the image has been mounted. When the applet is reopened afterwards, the remounted image will be listed under Virtual Disks.

Virtual Disks

Images that have been mounted as virtual disks will be listed here, shown with the icon, with the image name. File systems on the virtual disks are listed as volumes (eg. v01:) below the image name. Click on an image to unmount it. The icon next to the entry will denote that it has been unmounted. When the applet is reopened afterwards, the unmounted image will be listed under Previously Unmounted Disks.

Add Virtual Disk

You will be taken to a file directory, where you can browse for an HDClone-created image.

If differential images exist for your selected image, you can choose the image version from the dropdown. You will then be prompted to select an access mode for your chosen image:

The mounted image will appear in the Virtual Disks category of the applet menu (fig.1) with the icon.
