Presets for Resizing

The dropdown arrow next to the indicated size opens a context menu that contains the following settings:

Adjust partition to maximum size
Adjust partition to minimum recommended size
Adjust partition to its original size as it was on the source
Adjust partition to the minimum possible size without defragmentation
Adjust partition to the minimum possible size.
Note: A partition can only be reduced to the minimum amount of space required by the data it contains. However, a file system which has been reduced to the minimum size can be unusable in some cases, because certain programs require some free disk space, even if nothing is written by these programs. For example, Windows will not boot if there is no free space left. The adjustment to the minimum recommended size retains some free space on the partition to circumvent these potential issues.

Resize by Clicking and Dragging

You may also use the graphical bar itself to resize the partition. Click and drag the corresponding area on the bar. The dark shaded area on the bar represents the minimally achievable size for the data withinthe partition. The lighter shaded area represents the original size, which can be dragged to be manually adjusted. The white area represents the free, or unoccupied, space on the partition.
