The SpeedTest checks the reading speeds of the connected disks. Disk speeds can either be checked individually for single disks, or multiple disks can be read either individually or the total system throughput can be measured.

The SpeedTest main screen (fig.1) consists of three parts. The section on the top contains a list of all connected disks with their names and sizes on the left side. Settings for the SpeedTest are located at the top on the right side. The bottom part contains the list of results.
All available disks will be listed by their respective names and sizes (fig. 1). Click on a disk to select it for the SpeedTest. To select multiple disks, click on each disk while holding down the CTRL button.
You may select the following options individually or together:
If multiple disks are selected, there are two ways in which they can be read. The Synchronous Measurement option allows measurement of the total system throughput for all disks at the same time. Otherwise, the selected disk speeds will be measured sequentially, one disk at a time.
Next to Duration you may also determine how long you want a test run to take in seconds.
Once you have selected your settings, click on the Start button to begin the SpeedTest. During the run, the disk that is currently being tested will show on right side at the top. The progress bars will display the testing status. To stop the run, click on Cancel .
The results of each measurement will include:
You may execute several different runs back-to-back. Each new result will be added to the list to allow for comparison, with the newest results at the top.
