Pad is a simple text file editor that is used to write, change and save text files.

Upon opening Pad, a new document will appear. To add a new document under a new tab, select 
(Create a New Document). When you close a document, you will be prompted to store it as a file.
To open an existing text file for viewing and editing, select 
(Open a file). To open multiple files at once, press and hold down Ctrl in the Open File popup. Each opened document will appear in its own tab.
When entering or editing texts, the name of the document in the respective tab will appear with an asterisk(*), which indicates that the new entries or changes have not yet been saved. To save changes in the current document, select 
(Save changes). When saving a new document, you will be prompted to choose a path and a file name. Changes to documents that have been opened from an existing file will be stored to the same file.
