Copy Data

Begin and track the data transfer process.

The Copy data popup (fig. 1) appears at the beginning of the data transfer. Some program functions will show a security query before starting. In this case, check the status panel to ensure that program function, source, target and options are set. If needed, go back with  Back  in the lower left corner to adjust the settings. Click  Start  to begin the copying process.

Percentage Indicator

The percentage indicator (fig. 1) is located below the copy animation. It shows the progress of the latest run in a percentage.

Progress Bar

The progress bar (fig. 1) displays the status of the current operation. The progress status is shown in the bar itself in percent (%). The step of the process that is actively ongoing is shown to the left side above the progress bar. For operations where lengthy run times are expected, the process rate is shown in MB/s along with the estimated time of accomplishment (ETA) to the right side above the progress bar.

Copying Process

The entire process consists of up to three runs:

  1. Copying process: Depending on the program function and settings, the file systems will be analyzed initially at the beginning of the copying process.
  2. Troubleshooting run: Should errors occur during copying, the affected areas will be recopied (SafeRescue option).
  3. Verification run: The optional verification is conducted as its own separate run.

Cancellation by User

You can use  Stop  to interrupt the process (fig. 2). You may then either continue the process or cancel it completely, in which case you will receive a Final report.

Note: Unlike a cancelled copying run, a canceled verification run has no affect on the copied data. The copy itself will already be completely finished after the copying run.

Regular Termination

After up to three runs, the copying process is terminated normally. A Final report for the complete copying process will show up in a pop-up window.
